PARTICIPATORY FISHERIES MANAGEMENT AND CULTURE BASED FISHERIES IN BURKINA FASO

NEFISCO participated in the project "Management of Fisheries in the South-West of Burkina Faso" (GPSO) funded by GTZ.

The main result of the project and experiences from the region were presented at a regional seminar organised by GTZ/FAO/GPSO on Fisheries enhancements and participatory management", Bobo Dioulasso, December 2002.The proceedings of the seminar will be published by FAO/GTZ. A draft version of the proceedings of the seminar (in french) can be downloaded

The major lessons learned by the project were compiled by Nefisco, a short version can be obtained from GTZ, the more elaborate version can be downloaded here
